Expressionism Works
Expressionism was especially developed in Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries in such media as visual, literary, and performing arts. During this period of expressionism movement development it becomes an international movement.
The most notable artists of expressionism were Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Erich Heckel, and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, who originated the movement, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein, Otto Müller, Franz Marc, August Macke, Gabriele Münter, Heinrich Campendonk; the Swiss artist Paul Klee, and the Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky.
