Biography

Valeriy Klinkov was born in 1958 in Schwerin (Germany). At the present time he lives in Crimea. He was graduated from the Crimea State Medical University in 1981, then he had a position of psychiatrist. Valeriy lectured at the CSMU lately. The main direction of his scientific activity was – age-related mental disorders features (psychoanalytical aspect). He used art-therapy and game-therapy in his psychotherapeutic practice. From 1981 Valeriy Klinkov went in for painting. From 1987 he took part in multiple exhibitions. His pictures were purchased by Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian museums and private persons.

Painter names his creative direction – deep symbolism. Its' goal is derive something forgotten not merely by us, but also by whole our generation or whole human civilization. Distinction (or viveka – in Buddhist philosophy) and separation of undistorted symbols of human culture – is the main point of any creative work. In author opinion, painter not only «voices» and reveals these symbols and mythes, but also he increases them, creates new spaces into them. For someone it is a chance to understand and change himself / herself, for another person it is a chance to cognize all sides of an individual and general.
